Messy fun in January
Only a few day’s to go until our first Messy Church of
2014, and with a bright new year we’ll be starting a new topic where we will be
focusing on key Christian basics.
At the start of a new year for many people it may be a
time for making resolutions, when people are thinking about making a fresh
start in all kinds of areas of life.
This month we will be exploring forgiveness and making a fresh start,
and there will be the usual mixture of messy fun, stories and songs. This month we will be having a shared meal and
we encourage you to bring a dish that you enjoy making or eating as a family
that you would like to share with everyone.
Whether you’re a
regular at Messy Church or thinking of coming for the first time we hope to see
you on Sunday 26 January, 4-6pm.
Coming up…
There is another
chance to come to a Gospel Choir Workshop on Saturday 1st and 8th
February, 10-11.30am. We had such a fantastic time at Christmas we are going to do it again for Easter... but first we will learn a bit more about being a gospel choir.
The Gospel Choir is an opportunity for children and adults to get together for a morning and
have fun learning a few gospel songs. It is an ideal way to join a singing
group/choir without needing to commit lots of time or sign up on a
permanent basis. You don't need any musical experience or talent (although that
is of course most welcome) - just bring your enthusiasm.
